Description
2000 Sundowner 7204GNST 2 Horse Trailer for Sale
The 2000 Sundowner 7204GNST is a very clean 2 horse trailer with a 4-foot short wall dressing room, built by one of the most trusted names in horse hauling. Its steel-frame, aluminum-skin construction and taller 7’5″ interior make it a comfortable, hard-working rig for owners hauling larger horses to shows, trails, or the vet, with the higher 8,750 lb GVWR giving useful payload headroom.
Sundowner Durability with Room to Spare
Sundowner’s steel-frame, aluminum-skin design pairs a strong structural core with a corrosion-resistant exterior, a combination that has kept these trailers on the road for decades. What sets this unit apart is its 7’5″ interior height, roughly 22.25 hands, giving taller horses generous clearance that standard 7-foot trailers cannot offer. The 4-foot short wall dressing room adds real storage for saddles and gear.
Capacity and Everyday Practicality
The 8,750 lb GVWR is notably higher than many two-horse trailers, meaning more available payload for horses, tack, water, and feed without pushing the trailer’s limits. An escape door provides a safe exit from the front of the horse area after loading, and a manual jack keeps hitching simple. The included spare tire on 3,500 lb axles and 15-inch wheels keeps you prepared on the road.
