Description
2014 Sundowner 2 Horse Gooseneck Trailer for Sale
This 2 horse gooseneck trailer is a 2014 Sundowner 2HGN built entirely from aluminum and described as clean as new, making it a smart pick for owners who want the settled towing manners a gooseneck delivers without stepping into a brand-new price bracket. With a 2′ short wall dressing room up front, a 7′ long wall, and a generous 7′ inside height suited to horses standing up to 21 hands, it is a well-balanced rig for regular travel and longer hauls alike.
Why Owners Choose a Gooseneck
A gooseneck hitch mounts over the rear axle of your truck rather than at the bumper, which shifts the tongue load forward and typically produces a smoother, more planted tow. That geometry pays off at highway speed, in crosswinds, and during tight backing maneuvers, all situations where a nervous horse benefits from a stable, predictable ride. Sundowner’s all-aluminum construction resists the rust and corrosion that plague steel trailers, and it helps keep the empty weight modest so more of your truck’s capacity goes toward the animals rather than the box itself.
Comfort and Everyday Convenience
The dedicated dressing room gives you a dry, organized place to store saddles, tack, blankets, and grooming supplies, keeping the horse area cleaner and your gear ready to go. An electric jack takes the strain out of hitching and unhitching, a welcome touch after a long show day, and the included spare tire means an unexpected flat on the road need not end your trip. The roomy interior height also reduces the sense of confinement for taller horses, which can make loading calmer.
